Art Teacher (Ages 10-17) - Drawing, Ceramics, Paper Mache, Painting
We are seeking a talented art teacher to join our team and inspire young minds in various art forms including drawing, ceramics, paper mache, and painting.
As the art teacher, you will have the opportunity to work with students aged 10 to 17.
We hope the person interested in teaching will commit to the job from September to June. Must be available Wednesdays 2:30- 7 pm
About the Class:
The class will meet once a week for 4 weeks on Wednesdays. The student’s age will range from 10-17 years old.We aim to inspire artistic exploration while promoting independence, critical thinking, and mental well-being. Through a dynamic blend of painting, realistic drawing, ceramics, and oil pastels, we will encourage self-expression, foster observation skills, and nurture the emotional and mental health of our young artists. Students will explore painting and drawing techniques in various styles, from realism to abstraction. They will delve into the realm of three-dimensional art, allowing students to mold and shape clay into expressive sculptures as well as functional ceramics.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cover a wide range of art techniques including drawing, ceramics, paper mache, and painting.

- Assist students in developing technical skills, such as perspective, shading, composition, and color theory, through hands-on practice and constructive feedback.
- Plan and organize art exhibitions, showcases, or events to celebrate students' achievements and showcase their artwork to the wider community.
- Maintain a safe and clean art studio, ensuring that art supplies and materials are well-stocked and properly maintained.
- Monitor and evaluate students' progress, providing timely feedback, and communicating with parents or guardians as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends, techniques, and developments in the field of art education to enhance teaching methods and curriculum.
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Prior experience teaching art to students aged 10-17, with a proven track record of fostering creativity and artistic growth.
- Strong knowledge and expertise in various art forms including drawing, ceramics, paper mache, and painting.
- Proficient in using different art mediums, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages artistic exploration and self-expression.
